This is an aftermarket WSM plastic replacement wear-ring for the 159mm pumps used mostly in the 1494cc craft producing 215/255 HP.
As the wear-ring becomes worn, or is damaged from debris, the gap between it and the impeller grows, creating cavitation (mostly felt upon take-off, and performance loss. This is an important area to service and replace when necessary.
